The purpose of this assignment is for students to identify a specific ongoing sport law related issue of their choosing (ongoing legal case, potential future legal issue, changes to laws/policies, etc.). Research the issue, assess how/why the issue is occurring, and provide insights on where the issue currently stands (if it is in court, write about the case, if it is a potential future case, write about why and how it may develop into a case, and if it is a change in law/policy, write about what changed). From there, write about how you believe this legal issue should be resolved and why. After providing your proposed resolution, write about the potential implications of the case or issue and how you believe it will have an impact on its facet of the sport industry. Base your arguments in well-cited research on the topic, and articulate your points by justifying them with the findings of your research.
