Collect data for 3 variables- 2 of them must be numeric.
For each variable, you must collect at least 10 data points.
You will enter your data into SPSS.
Create two frequency tables for two different variables.
Calculate the mean, median, mode (measures of central tendency) and standard deviation, variance, range (measures of variability) for two numeric variables.
Include the SPSS dataset and SPSS output in your submission.
Write up:
What 3 variables did you choose to collect data on? Describe each– is it categorical? scale? ratio?
How did you collect the data and who did you collect data on?
Data questions:
Make two observations for each frequency table. Write the descriptions after each frequency table so it’s clear which table you are describing.
Write up what the measures of central tendency and measures of variability tell you about the variable. (IE. What is the mean? Is there a lot of variation in the scores?)
Use this word document for your write up and don’t forget to attach your SPSS dataset and SPSS output!
