1. PromptAfter viewing the 4 videos about different eras of theatre history, respond to ONE of the following questions:
. How has the performing arts of today (theatre, film, television, etc) been influenced by any or all of the eras discussed (Ancient Greece, the Middle Ages, the Italian Renaissance, Elizabethan England)?
. How did the political, cultural, and/or religious climate of any of the historical periods covered in the module influence the theatre of that time? How does the political, cultural, and/or religious climate today influence contemporary theatre?
. In the different videos, the narrators discussed the presence of women onstage at various points in history. Why do you think women were or were not allowed to participate in theatre during those times?

Which one would you choose to experience? What about the theatre of that time and place intrigues you? How would you want to be involved in the theatre: as an actor, a playwright, an audience member, etc? (around 100 words)
