Partner with a classmate for a 8-10 minute role-play and create your own script. During this role play, you will demonstrate the use of an intervention (CBT, MI, SFT, etc) using the telebehavioral platform. Before the role-play begins, give a brief summary of the case, the goal of the session and any context that would be helpful for your classmates to be aware of regarding the client and the work. Be sure to clearly demonstrate your ability to use the intervention successfully with the client. Be transparent with your client about your plan and explain the method. Your grade will reflect your ability to demonstrate your intervention skills appropriately on the platform, managing the timeframe available, and demonstrate a “piece of work” that is meaningful and productive for the client. After the role-play, you will gain essential feedback from your classmates about your demonstration and build on your telebehavioral health skills.
