Source is: 1491 Part One – Discuss how Charles C. Mann, in Part One (Chapters 2-4), accounts for the changes in demography using sources from the 1491. What examples are most relevant from each of the three chapters and how do they prove his point.
Guidelines:
You will write a MLA formatted 300 word double-spaced response paper (11 pt. font Calibri or Times New Roman) looking at 1491 to examine its impact on the scholarship of the Indigenous Americas. This is a personal response and will require no outside research (i.e. you will not quote any source material outside of Mann’s 1491 text and textbook (20% or less of the total word count)). SWAs must include the following:
1. You must have a creative and informative title (“SWA 1” is not creative or informative)
2. You must introduce and reference the author and work by name (if known). (1 sentence)
3. You must provide the historical and cultural framework of your argument. (3-4 sentences)
4. You must present your own interpretations about the significance of the evidence that you are using by discussing specific details from the chosen work. (This is much of your response)
