My feedback below is divided into the sections of the Final Paper Rubric, which I’ll use to grade your final draft at the end of Week Seven.
1) Organization of Thought:
While outside sources are good to use as supporting evidence, remember that the bulk of the paper should be comprised of your own thoughts and analysis.
2) Analyzes Various Perspectives:
Is there any indication of how the death penalty is impacted by the overarching issue of federalism?

3) Policy-Making Process:
Have any states recently changed their death penalty laws? The answer may be no, but if any have, it would be interesting to mention.
Given the impact of the Supreme Court when it comes to the death penalty, are there any indications that they may revisit the issue in the future?
4) Solving Political Challenges:
Including a direct quote or two from an elected official would be a great addition to the narrative.
5) Research:
Your sources look good, so just make sure they’re in APA format.

6) Writing:
Remember that any outside information requires both an in-text citation, in the form of (author, year), as well as a listing on the reference page.
Just be careful of minor grammatical errors throughout the paper. The best way to detect these is to read the paper out loud when you’re done, as you’ll notice these tiny mistakes.
Also, make sure to add a brief abstract at the beginning of the paper.
