Instructions: Part of your Course Project is an analysis of the data you have been collecting to identify an HRD related problem related to learning and development. You have an opportunity this week to work on a draft outline of the assessment analysis in advance of the Organizational Assessment Report’s due date at the end of Week 3.
For this week’s submission, create a draft outline (400-500 words, not including the required title page and references page) of your key findings that are emerging from your data collection through observing and interviewing others at the organization. In other words, begin to synthesize and summarize what you are learning from your data. Even though you are still collecting data by asking questions (interviews), through observation, report analysis, etc., this assignment is your opportunity to brainstorm, ask questions, and get feedback from your instructor.
For the outline (bullet and/or paragraph form), develop content that describes:
An overview of the organization’s cultural values and practices related to learning and development for everyone in the organization.
Findings emerging from the data. Use Kegan and Lahey’s (2016) ‘home’, ‘groove’ and ‘edge’ to organize your preliminary analysis. What are common themes you observe emerging from your data?
Identify theories that can help you explain the behaviors and actions you observe within your organization. The findings will ultimately help you identify a problem (gap) that can be improved with HRD interventions.
