During the previous two weeks we have looked at teaching and learning strategies and teaching theories. The assignment you create can be anything except a paper, a power point presentation, or an exam. Educators who work in staff development often create education that can be submitted which include a short quiz. A short quiz to summarize learning is fine, but this should not be the focus of the assignment, only the evaluation. Consider all of the ways that nurses, at all levels, learn content whether they are experienced or in Level 1 and create an assignment for them to complete. Feel free to use technology that you find or have used in the past. The rubric for this assignment will be created in Module 5 so focus on just the assignment for now.
For this assignment, be sure to include the following assignment criteria in your paper:
Specific and detailed instructions allowing your students to know exactly what you are asking of them to do for this assignment.
Include boundaries or expectations much like the word count you would see for a written assignment.
Give students any expectations on detail requirements such as examples or templates they need to include
Tell students how you want the assignment supported such as peer-reviewed articles or websites and how many references if you have a specific expectation.
Support the rationale for this assignment and connect it to the topic you are using explaining why this assignment will help students learn the topic and why it will help you evaluate their learning.
Remember to support your ideas with the articles you found. These articles should be less than five (5) years old. They should not be from the Web, but from the library databases, and be sure to use a narrative format.
