Part 1. After you have read Binti and watched the YouTube video about Afrofuturism, answer the following questions:
In what ways would you argue that Binti is afrofuturist? Try to go beyond the obvious here. (At least 4 sentences.)
Compare and contrast Binti to Parable of the Sower. (At least 6 sentences.)
I have argued that many works of visionary fiction are trying to teach us lessons about how to make the world better or to behave more justly. What lesson(s) is Binti trying to teach us? (At least 5 sentences.)
