As we discussed in class, there are many cases related to Asymmetric information and incomplete game
in money and financial markets. In this situation, one party has insufficient knowledge about the other
party involved in a transaction. In fact, one party scams or cheats another party in money markets.
Find an article or articles that was/were published in past three years that discusses money laundry, scam
and fraud in financial market or other related topics. The article should thoroughly describe the reason(s)
and economic/business impacts of money issues/disputes in Canada economy or USA economy. Your
essay must be based on academic writing and at least three pages.
Your article (s) must come from a credible economic/business news source or google scholar. You may
use data, graphs, tables, or illustrations cannot be sourced and must be created by the student. Upload
your submission in Moodle before the due date to avoid late penalties.
Based on your article, thoroughly address the following questions using ECON 2408 course concepts:
1. Is the asymmetric information a financial problem? What are the negative effects on economy
and business? Use a well-labeled graph(s) to illustrate what has happened in the market.
2. Would you considerthis problem has negative impacts on economic growth?
3. What are proper policies and regulations to prevent financial crimes?
4. What are your thoughts and remarks about the problem in money and financial markets?
