Overview
There is a lot written about the role that vision has for effective leadership, but this week’s reading material emphasized the need for a shared vision between the leader and follower(s). Some authors define leadership in one word: influence. However, there is much to explore in how this outcome looks like and is achieved. Closely related to both of these topics is motivation. Leading and following are not just concepts but action process. Vision, influence, and motivation are important topics to support effective leading. The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize the student with scholarly content that could potentially be applied directly in current workplace responsibilities along with future research studies.
Instructions
Write an annotated bibliography on how leaders use vision, influence, and motivation to support the follower(s) in the leadership process. The purpose of this bibliography is to analyze scholarly sources regarding these leadership behaviors and practices and its support for effective leadership. You can take this topic in whatever direction is most relevant to your research interests. The research interest is Leadership in African American Female Entrepreneurship, you can search for articles more specific to that context and application.
Bibliography should be a minimum of 4-5 pages in length not including the title and reference pages.
Include a minimum of 8 peer reviewed articles.
Articles should also be included in the separate reference page.
Quality of bibliography should support academic level standards as specified in grading rubric including APA 7 formatting, depth of analysis, clarity of writing, and organization of content.
