The stated purpose of the agreement is to substantially reduce the production of global greenhouse gas emissions to limit the effect on the global climate. While the agreement addressed the problem from a global perspective, little was addressed related to local initiatives. Research and discuss one local or regional initiative which has been implemented to decrease greenhouse gases in North Carolina.
