In this unit, you learned about the United States’ post-war years from 1945-1970. During this time the United States had many successful and influential presidents who left a lasting impact on the country.
You will be selecting one of these presidents to research for this project.
You can choose between presidents:
Harry S. Truman
Dwight D. Eisenhower
John F. Kennedy
Lyndon B. Johnson.
Write a 600-word essay:
For this project, you will write a 600-word essay on your selected president’s handling of the Office of the Presidency. This essay should cover their major personal accomplishments, new programs they implemented, how they approached the Cold War and interacted with other countries, and any involvement related to the Civil Rights Movement.
You must use at least 2 credible sources and provide a Works Cited page with your sources. Failure to include a Works Cited page will result in a rejected assignment. Also, please write the essay in MLA format with the standard 5 paragraphs.
