I was inspired by the first presentation topic at this conference and felt that doing my PhD research project about integrating artificial intelligence in English classrooms would be a good idea. I have also searched and found some useful youtube videos about the same topic, which will be posted below; (you can have a look). I feel that researching this topic sheds light on an important argument since some teachers think that Als are threatening their jobs, while Als can assist them in their teaching, save their time and energy and provide each student with a personal tutor.
Now the research topic is general, and I am still thinking about it, but I need to consult an expert about the proposed objectives and research question that I may build my research on.
As an English lecturer at a university where English is a second language, it will be easier to collect data from teachers. However, I am unsure if I can find teachers familiar with the Als. I think I may need to conduct a workshop for a group of teachers about how to use three or four AI tools , ask them to apply these tools later in their classrooms for a semester and then collect data about their experiences.
I am also considering collecting data from teachers and students about their perceptions of integrating Als in English classrooms.
Please suggest objectives, research questions and methodology for a PhD proposal in a few points.
