Guidelines for your Final Power Point Research Project:
1. Your project must be in Power Point format with at least a minimum of 15 and a maximum of 20 slides.
2. You will need to thoroughly research your topic by utilizing a minimum of Four credible resources (Wikipedia is not one of these resources).
3. Do not crowd your slides. If you put more than a paragraph or two on a slide, it becomes difficult to read.
4. Utilize links and graphics for creativity and to hold interest and add depth to your research.
5. Make sure that the last slide presents your bibliography.
6. Make sure that you are objective in your information, supporting the facts and concepts with citations.
7. Include a slide about a policy that relates to your topic.
This project will be graded on:
20 points – Organization of your slides (ex. They have a natural progression, not dis-jointed and random).
20 points – Completeness of assignment (you have included everything that is required).
20 points – Clarity of what you are presenting (this would include academic language and proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, sentence structure).
20 points – Creativity of the Power Point and the use of graphics and web links.
20 points – Thoroughness of your exploration of the topic and use of resources.
You are encouraged to develop an outline so that you can present an organized project. Ex.:
A. Title and Introduction
B. Definition of key concepts.
C. What research has found
D. Policies relating to topic
E. Sources/Suggestions for Resolution of Problem
