3. Please write a 200-300 word essay on ONE of the 8 genres of manga you find — or might find — most suited to your interests. What in the manga do you find to connect to? In what you are able to see from the pictures and the descriiptions, what do you think would be the hardest thing (other than the language) for a reader who isn’t familiar with Japanese culture to understand? Does your cultural upbringing make anything in manga seem especially perplexing?
