What is the role of antibiotics?
Beautiful job on your presentation. According to Thapa et al. (2022), Ceftriaxone and azithromycin are often the most commonly used antibiotics in the management of COVID-19 patients because they usually cover the most opportunistic pathogens that can cause the secondary infection in COVID-19. Therefore, I can understand the use of azithromycin in your case study. It is used a lot because it is of broad spectrum macrolides antibiotics. Moreover, the role of azithromycin is to break down the particles of the virus and act as an agent to inhibit bacterial growth. Therefore, antibiotic plays a significant role in the covid world, and antibiotic is the only option for treating patients with severe covid and pneumonia if they are not allergic to them.
