HOW TO WORK ON THIS ASSIGNMENT ( EXAMPLE ESSAY/ DRAFT)

One argument I saw between coworkers who were competing for promotions serves as an example of a social trap. A small number of open positions, a competitive workplace, and a high-stakes incentive for those who won the promotion were the situational elements. The argument centered on who was the most deserving and qualified applicant for the promotion. Each employee felt they were the best applicant and had the qualifications and experience needed to succeed in the role. Coworkers got so preoccupied with outdoing one another that they failed to perceive the advantages of cooperation as a result of this competition, which created a social trap.

Because of the conflict, a social trap was demonstrated.
