1. Students will record all foods and beverages (including serving size) consumed over three consecutive days. Please be sure to include at least one weekend day in your three day reporting period.
2. After collecting data over a three-day period, students will conduct an analysis of their diet and compare their findings to recommended standards as discussed in class and within the text. Students must make sure all percentages and numbers correctly balance. For each food item, I’d like you to record the number of calories, grams of carbohydrate, grams of protein and grams of fat. You will not be responsible for all of the vitamins and minerals that are listed.
3. After completing all quantitative data, students will write a three to five page type-written analysis of their diet. The analysis will contain strengths with supporting evidence as well as areas of improvement with specific examples of how to improve their diet.
4. Submissions are to include three spreadsheets (one for each recorded day) and a 3-5 page written analysis.
