Grading: The goal of the Initial Writing Assessment is to evaluate your business writing skills at the start of the semester. This is used to determine the topics to focus on this semester and to compare your writing skills at the start and end of the semester.
We expect you to demonstrate your best writing skills at this point in your college career (for example, correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation). To earn 10 points, the assignment must follow all instructions regarding length and content. However, since you have not yet learned the principles of business writing, you are not expected to demonstrate these on your assignment.
