In practice, providers frequently rely on websites, trusted sources, or applications (“apps”) to assist them in making treatment decisions. Patients may also ask for resources or mention websites they utilize. It is important to be familiar with which websites and tools can be trusted and are most useful to you. The purpose of this assignment is to familiarize the student with a variety of resources that will be useful in practice.
For this assignment, students will create a presentation on a patient-facing or provider-facing online source, application, or tool for prescribing psychiatric medications or managing psychiatric conditions. This can be a mobile application or an online resource.
