750 words. Basic Idea: I want you to write an interpretation of the Glass menagerie. Focus on one symbol, scene, or
character. Provide a deeper interpretation of what that symbol, scene, or
character means for the play (do NOT do all three).

should be an introduction where your thesis is clearly presented. That thesis should
then be supported by your evidence from the text in subsequent paragraphs.
Every paragraph should begin with a clear paragraph topic sentence that supports your overall thesis.
Your concluding paragraph should review your overall point, resolve any
counter arguments you wish to address (optional), and possibly (optional)
examine any consequences that arise from accepting your interpretation of the
