A business’s network operations center (NOC) and security operations center (SOC) work collaboratively to effectively manage and protect a business’s information and infrastructure.
Respond to the following in a minimum of 175 words:
Discuss some of the different tools, technologies, and/or processes that NOC and SOC teams can use to safeguard an organization’s assets and the different roles of each team. Would you rather be part of a SOC or NOC team, and why?
Provide proof of your research to support your position.

Hello class,
After reading about SOC and NOC, I believe both operations play a great part in IT, some of the tools I have seen most companies use are:
SolarWinds. These tools are used for network monitoring and management in any given organization. This tool can also assist in data management when well controlled and configured.
BigPanda. This platform is used to assist companies reduce IT related noise and detect bad incidents in real time before causing disruptions.
Moogsoft. This is a cloud-based tool that is developed for DevOps and SRE teams. It is essential for noise reduction, making real time alerts, and native observabilities.
The role of NOC teams is responsible for infrastructure monitoring, maintaining security and capacity on the client’s side. They are responsible for the proper decision making of an organization thus making sure that optimal network performance has been achieved. Compare to SOC team; The core objective of SOC team is to protect the organization against any form of cyber-attack. This team is responsible for managing the security attack that may happen to IT systems of a given organization.
I would rather be part of SOC team because i like defended or like cybersecurity very much. Since protecting systems is my passion, I would rather work with SOC so that i can easily grow my career.

Good afternoon class,
What the difference between Network Operation Center NOC and Security Operation Center the SOC
The Network Operation Center, following my research I found that they IT team is in charge of monitoring the network system within the company, the team serve the first line of defense against any network problem.
The network operation center can detect and prevent n and to resolve network problem in the company.
Network Operation Center can be built inside the office, it helps to handle quickly problems onsite, or outside the office, problems can be resolved remotely.
The SOC, the security operation system is in charge of setting the security network system to prevent intrusion or any security fail in the company network system.
System security includes the development and implementation of security countermeasures. These include firewalls, data encryption, passwords and biometrics. A firewall consists of software and hardware set up between an internal computer network and the Internet to filter out unwanted intrusions.
on different layers the security operating system the security operating system have to make sure that the security are set to protect the company against intrusion and any attack, the physical layer to logical layer
the security operation center is complementary to the Network operation system, the availability of network is the one maintain by the NOC, and the NOC will collaborate all the time with the SOC to adapt the system to the required secuirty standard.
