In order to make your website multimodal and engaging, you do not want a website that is all text-based as discussed in module 5. Adding digital images, videos, audio, and other graphics to your site can greatly enhance the ways that you communicate ideas to your audience. Your site must include embedded slideshow images, embedded audio, and at least one embedded video. You can create a video yourself or use one that is already publicly available. You must “embed” the multimedia into your site. (Embedding means the multimedia plays right on the page; links are nice, but embedded ones are a better approach).
To earn full credit for the multimedia component, you must include:
One embedded video (2 points)
One embedded audio clip (2 points)
One embedded slideshow (images rotating on the page) (2 points)
For all examples, you must include a clear description of what the multimedia means. For example, if you post a video about an inspirational speech, describe the significance to you. If you post a slideshow with several pictures, list the highlights. Multimedia lacking context will earn partial credit.
