Hi, I would like you to write a personal statement of mine. I am applying to law school and they want me to provide them this. Here is why I am applying to law school and I would like you to put them into the personal statement in a professional yet clear and humble language:
I want to apply to law school because law is what make people aware of their actions. Being able to know what you can and cannot do is very important. Since childhood, I have not been a traditional person or student. I like to question everything and debate with everyone, using the knowledge I have and learned from real world experiences, in addition to what your parents, friends, teachers, and other people tell me. I always hated being told what to do and what not to do, this habit is double edged. Sometimes, it makes me being able to find truths that others find it hard to find. Sometimes, it makes me to careless for most of non-essential classes that I find not worth the time and effort to do.
The absolute power of the United States and its political, societal, and legal structures have given its lawyers enough dignity and strength to practice law, which in all makes law respectable here in the United States and also to the rest of the world. Having being dealing with China so deeply and realistically, I feel that I am more than obliged to go to law school at this and become a lawyer. My experience dealing with China and other countries have made be come to the conclution that law is above everybody, and without it being above everybody, the world we live in would be disastrous. Becoming a lawyer is expected for me to have a good understanding of the legal system and its functions, which would let me know what I can do and what I cannot do.
Due to endless questions about life many of which were quite open questions that are not black and white, I was often depressed for a long time before right before I graduate from high school. I found the answer to those questions by becoming a protestant Christian. I don’t have more goals living in this world other than making the world a better place and fight for truth, and of course some good money for me to eat good and explore solutions and problems around the world. For someone like me who likes to debate, help others, down to earth, and loves to fight for truth, there seems no other things to do at this point but to go to law school pursuing J.D..
