Watch the video and consider how other companies use different techniques and technologies to control quality.
One of the key goals of a business is to deliver a high quality product to their customers in a cost-effective manner. Organizations use many different tools, techniques, and technologies—including SPC—to measure and control quality during the service or manufacturing process.
RESPOND
Identify an organization you have worked for or one with which you are familiar and reflect on the various ways in which the organization measured and controlled quality.
Share at least 3-4 cost of quality categories present in the organization and give examples of each category relative to the organization.
Using one of your examples, share a strategy for a way in which statistical process controls could be used to reduce the cost of quality.
