Perform a comparison of the air quality from the three (3) states & counties listed below using the AirNow website (http://www.epa.gov/aircompare/index.htmLinks to an external site.).
Step 1 – Scroll towards the bottom of the page reviewing information as you go or you can use the tab in the upper right corner to “jump” to each section of the page. (See Yellow Arrow above)
Step 2 – scroll or use the tabs until you reach the “Compare Counties” section of the page (See below).
Step 3 – Select ONE health parameter to explore such as Asthma/Lung Disease, Heart Disease (etc.) using the drop down menu (See yellow arrow below).
Step 4 – Select the two states/counties listed below and pick a third state for comparison by clicking on the map with your cursor.
San Bernardino, CA
Miami-Dade, FL
State and County of your choice.
Step 5 – Record the number of Unhealthy Days for each County be year (See below).
Step 6 – Use the data from the three different counties to create your tables and graphs in your Lab Report.
