C‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌reate a lesson plan for a high school level module on social psychology and the criminal justice system. Include the following elements:
1. A list of 3-4 objectives for the lesson. What skills, knowledge, etc. will students have after completing your module? In education circles, these often begin with the phrase “Students will be able to…” For example, “Students will be able to describe the difference between quantitative and qualitative research.”
2. For each objective, explain the social psychological concepts that will be taught so that students can achieve the objective. In my example, I would state the definitions of quantitative and qualitative research, and would explain the difference between them.
3. For each objective, describe an activity that will be implemented or an outside material or resource that will be used to teach the material. Some examples of outside materials to consider are below (you are also welcome to find your own). What will students learn from the activity or resource? Be specific. In my example, I would present students with a blank FSU course evaluation form and hold a class discussion about the different types of questions that could be used to asses‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌s students’ perceptions of course delivery. I would also state the “answers” to the activity, that is, which types of questions represent which type of research.

4. For each objective, write one multiple choice question and one essay question that could be used to assess how well students have achieved the objective.
We will be looking to see whether you completed all four of the above items for each objective and how much you have learned about social psychology and the criminal justice system from both the course and the outside sources. The more concepts you include, the better. You can include more concepts if you write broader objectives. The extent of your knowledge will also be demonstrated by the relevance of the activities you propose and by the quality of your exam questions. There is no specific length requirement; just be as thorough as you are able, and show us that you can apply social psychology to criminological issu‌‍‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‍‌‌‌‍‌‌‌‌‌‌es.
