You must also review the trend analysis report rubric (see below) and the presentation rubric (see Trend analysis presentation) before conducting your research and preparing your report and presentation
Identify a recent trend and analyze the causes of the trend. You must chart the evolution of the trend and the underlying causes and substantiate this with appropriate data (you can attach appropriate data tables/charts in the appendix). Although you might not be able to definitively explain most trends, there is often evidence related to emergence and evolution (growth) of a trend. You can use this data/evidence to logically make the case. You must discuss on trend and causes. Also identify a company, preferably a startup that is capitalizing on the trend and gather extensive information on the company and founders, including their motivation to pursue the business opportunity.
