This project is an academic book review of a text of your choice that deals with at least one ethical subject. This can be a review of an explicitly ethical text (e.g., Hannah Arendt’s The Origins of Totalitarianism) or a text that deals with ethical issues/subjects implicitly (e.g., a novel, graphic novel, poem, etc.). The review should be no less than 5 pages (double spaced, 12 point font, MLA format! Formal essay, paragraph form.
Be sure to include in the paper the following information:
1. The name of your source
2. A brief summary of the ethical subject your source material presents
3. A brief analysis of the problem (For example, what solution(s) does the text bring to the subject? What complications does it bring? Is the source correct in its assumptions/presentation of the ethical subject at hand? Is it a text that you would recommend to others? Why or why not?)
Criteria for a Successful Final Project
1. Define and Describe (What is the source and the ethical issue?)
2. Evidence (Does the project support its positions with adequate data?)
3. Coherence (Does the structure hold together and move forward?)
4. Scope (Does the project deal with all important aspects of the source/ethical issue? Does the project show recognition of the implications of its claims and arguments?)
5. Originality (Does the writing show some original thought and insight?)
