Your paper should use 12pt, Times New Roman Font, double space with 1″ margins in APA format.
Each of the following should be a heading in your final paper. Be sure to answer the questions in a paragraph format.
You can see the example at the bottom of this page for correct formatting.
Paper Sections
Make each of these a heading (with sub-headings) in your paper.
Context
In this section you should introduce the purpose of the paper (e.g., to design a plan to develop self-regulation for students) and the context of your future classroom. Be sure to specify the grade level and content area. In addition provide some information about the demographics of your classroom, such as previous achievement, race or ethnicity, or any other factors that may be relevant to your model of achievement.
Model
In this section you will identify which model (or models) of self-regulated learning will provide the foundation for your plan. Provide a short summary of the model or models.
You must choose from ONE of the following theories:
Zimmerman’s Socio-cognitive Perspectives
Boekaert’s Dual Processing Model
Winne and Hadwin’s Metacognitive SRL Model
Pintrich’s Motivational Model
Elfkide’s Metacognitive and Affective Model of SRL (MASRL)
Hadwin, Jarvela, and Miller’s Social Shared Regulated Learning Model (SSRL)
Applications
In this section identify at least three different things that you can do in the classroom to develop self-regulated learning with your students. Each of these should be a separate paragraph. Be sure to explain these in detail, so that another teacher could implement them.
Connection to Model
Finally, you will make the connection between your applications and your model(s) explicit. Be sure that you use the terminology from the model and that you explain this fully. In this section you are showing me that you understand the model and can apply it to classroom practice.
Conclusion
End your paper with a conclusion. Restate your purpose and conclusions.
References or Citations
These should be in APA format, with a hanging indent.
