Your assignment is to write a paper explaining in your own words what Thracymachus means by “Justice is the advantage of the stronger” (A or the first thesis) and how Socrates responds to this claim? In other words, give the key points of the argument as it progresses throughout the dialogue. Make sure it is clear who is giving each point. Since it is a dialectical argument, you should, when possible, also discuss the dialectical thinking process going on in the dialogue, i.e., in terms of the thesis, anti-thesis, and synthesis.
