CONCERT REVIEWS: EITHER IN PERSON OR ONLINE
Concert reviews
are to be at least 2 pages typed, 12 inch font, double spaced, and 1″
margins on a concert of your choosing from the provided list or as
approved by the instructor. Papers should be typed, MLA style.
A cancelled concert is not an excuse; so do not wait until the last
minute! No late or incomplete reviews will be accepted. Grading will be
based on the quality of writing and correct usage of concepts learned in
class. (I would suggest picking 2 of the musical selections you hear during the concert and writing on those pieces.)
You may watch a live
stream or virtual performance online. The Met on Demand is an excellent
option for this! Just email me first to check about the concert.
Remember to bring paper and a pencil to the concert. It will be very hard to remember details after the concert ends.
You may turn in your report early.
