Recall an ethical dilemma that you encountered within the last year (preferably a work-related dilemma). If you cannot think of a work related ethical dilemma, perhaps you had to make a difficult choice related to your education, career, employment, or personal life.
What decision did you make? What were some of the pros and cons of going with the decision you made? What specifically influenced your decision? Were these influences personal, organizational, or environmental? Was there a combination of influences?
Remember, a decision based on an ethical dilemma is not the same as an everyday decision based on personal preference. For instance, deciding to take one job rather than another, when the decision is not based on an ethical principle, is not an ethical dilemma.
