Why is the topic discussed important to your school?
Answer: Students who are bullied have an increased risk of Decreased academic achievement—GPA and standardized test scores—and school participation. They are more likely to miss, skip, or drop out of school. Bullying affects not only the student but also the school and community as well.
Discuss your chosen community stakeholders group to which you presented your topic. Provide background as to who this group is, why you choose this group to present your topic.
Answer: The stakeholders in the meeting were
Gina Joseph teacher at Gold Stream K-8 Academy
(It was imperative to invite a teacher to the meeting because teachers should be made aware of the signs of students who are repeatedly bullied such as poorer grades and participate less in class discussions… “students may get mislabeled as low achievers because they do not want to speak up in class for fear of getting bullied”. Even though a teacher may not witness a child being bullied, they are other ways to tell. Also, teachers should be made aware of the resources available to them in case they do encounter this issue.
Gurla Rodne & Veronica Goycochea- Parents of a middle schoolers (I chose middle school parents because almost all students reported that all bullying peaked in middle school, specifically 6th-grade. Gurla’s child was a bully and Veronica’s child has been bullied. Both parents are on the opposite end of the spectrum)

Devonia Mejia- Business owner & Member of the community.
(I chose to invite these stakeholders because It is important for us to invite community members to help aid the school in the community in our bullying prevention for anti-bullying initiatives from local businesses and community members.
Also, children might retaliate through extremely violent measures. 70% of school shooting cases the shooters had a history of being bullied. This affects the safety of our children and the community.

Answer: I came across as nervous and flustered which made me lose my train of thoughts and therefore reverted to reading my notes.
