Your written assignments should use 12-point Calibri or Times New Roman font, double-spacing, and 1-inch margins on all four sides (like this
paragraph). All written assignments must use the MLA Handbook (g’* edition) for citations and bibliography. For examples of MLA in-text citations, see the

Field Learning Analysis Directions (10%). After students complete the course material, each person will visit a livestreamed gathering for Mass at a Roman
Catholic Church and visit a website of a Roman Catholic Church or diocese (for example, you could visit the Diocese of Orlando, at
https://www.orlandodiocese.org/to learn about the many Catholic churches in the area and their livestreaming of Mass). Students then write a two- to three-page
analysis essay answering the questions: in what specific ways does the gathering for Mass and website information illustrate the history, theology, and
practice of Christianity that we have learned in this course? That is, do not only describe what you experience (this is not only a reflection paper, though
personal reflection is encouraged) but make explicit connections to class learning materials. What emphases, practices, objects, and ideas that we have
learned about emerged in the gathering and on the cite? How is the Roman Catholic Church, as represented by the Mass and website, different from the
other traditions we learned about? How is it different form the tradition you are accustomed to? Cite both the Mass and website and class materials (lectures,
readings, etc.) throughout -every paragraph should have multiple citations. Bloom’s Levels: Analyzing, Evaluating, and Creating.
Purpose of Assessment: This assessment provides a creative way for students to apply their learning about the history, ineology, and practice of Christianity
to a real-world scenario: discovering what churches believe and practice by analyzing a livestreamed Mass (to be safer during the COVID-19 pandemic) and a
website. Students have the freedom to choose their own adventure -every person creates a unique analysis of different gatherings and websites while all put
their class learning to use in the field.” I require citations to class materials to encourage both review and direct application of new knowledge to analyzing the
Roman Catholic Church today.
