You will write a 2800 word (approximately 10 pages) research paper that addresses the following question: Besides knowing more than one language, are there any cognitive differences between monolinguals and bilinguals? It will be your job to find, read, and synthesize empirical research articles that can address this question. To get you working on your papers early, there is a sub-assignment due earlier in the term; in week 7 you will hand in a list of 5 references which you plan to use for your paper. This assignment will be worth 5% of your paper grade. More information about the paper and these assignments will come later in the term.
You will submit an electronic version of your paper on UR Courses on the last day of classes, December 13th at 11:00 pm. Late papers will not be accepted. You must submit a paper by the due date in order to complete this course, or else a No Paper (NP) grade will be assigned.
