You will need to discuss a contemporary work (or a body of work) of
photography in relation to 19th century photography we have studied in this
course. You could choose to compare works of the same genre (portraits,
landscapes, etc.); discuss different uses of photography (fine arts,
documentation, etc), or use similar techniques (combination negatives/soft focus
and digital manipulation). If in doubt about your topic email me, or speak with
me after class.
*(we can pick any contemporary artist that relates to like any 19th-century photography or work to compare. Like it doesn’t have to be comparing two 19th century artists or bodies of work )
