Throughout the history of psychology, we have often tried to understand how personality develops. For this exercise, choose a theory of personality and describe what patterns of personality you noticed in the following clip. You’ll be watching a clip from the 2003 movie, Lilo and Stitch.
Some background on the clip that you are about to watch: Stitch is an alien designed to destroy everything in sight. When he escapes, he lands on a small island in the state of Hawaii. To remain incognito and evade arrest from two other aliens, Stitch poses as a dog and a young girl, Lilo, adopts him. He must fight against his innate instinct for destruction and “be good.”

Trait Theory Using one of the perspectives above, explain the cause of Stitch’s aggressive personality. Be sure to include: a) A very thorough, complete descriiption of the perspective or theory that you chose. Explain it as though the reader has never heard of it. b) Using that perspective, how would you explain Stitch’s personality? Make sure to use evidence from the video clip to show why this explains his personality.
