This paper is 4-6 pages long, double spaced, ASA formatting.
I need to use at least 8 research sources (academic, peer reviewed, typically from ebsco or jstor type databases).
The essay is to compare the theories and ideas of two social theorists covered in class (I chose Karl Marx and Max Weber) and how they apply to, would explain, would agree or disagree, their thoughts on, etc. on the current society/era’s rise in mental health issues among college students and young adults.
Marx: be sure to include alienation, species being, product of labor, capitalism, conflict theory, etc type ideas (not necessarily all of this but just in general and can be other things as well.)
Weber: some reference to his mental breakdown later in life, iron cage, etc. Take creative liberty however you want with him.
Maybe format the paper somewhat like this:
-Intro to mental health and its rise in modern society/maybe compare contributing differences to the past
-Discuss what Marx’s input on the topic would be
-Discuss what Weber’s input on the topic would be
-Compare their ideas, do they agree or disagree with each other
-Conclusion
I have an annotated bibliography started with some resources already pulled if you’d like to use some of them but it’s not necessary. I’ll attach it on the control panel.
