Data Analysis: Is the social class of a community related to the percent of students who are reading and math proficient and/ or the school ranking? Identify the social indicators/ factors in a community that may influence how well students perform in school.
Theoretical Analysis: Use at least one of our sociological theories (Functional, Conflict and/or Symbolic Interaction) to analyze and explain the different levels of educational attainment in these communities.
Solutions: Based on your research and data analysis, what do you think might be done to improve the American educational system?
