The final paper assignment will be a 5-7 page policy evaluation. You can select any criminal justice program, project, or policy to be evaluated. I CHOSE (THE BRADY ACT) which requires criminal history background checks by the federal bureau of investigation and state agencies on persons who attempt to purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer.
The basic format for the final paper should be the following:
Introduction to YOUR topic: (pages 1-2)
– Identify who/how the program was intended to be implemented/operated.
– Identify how the program was actually implemented and actually operated.
– Analyze / review information to determine how the program operated.
– Summarize / develop recommendations and communicate findings.
