The Assignment: Each student is expected to do a report consisting of a written paper (5-7 pages). More important than length is the presentation of an adequate rationale and content. The research paper should be typed in a 12-point Times New Roman Font, one-inch margins, and a minimum of 1½ line spacing. The structure of the paper should include the following: • Cover Page • Introduction • Analysis • Summary/Conclusion • Bibliography/References The context of the paper should be a topic specific to the area of Supply Chain Management. Find a Supply Chain Trend that will be coming to a business soon. State how will the trend affect procurement, planning, demand, and costs. What are some positive and negative takeaways? Identify an issue, or a possible issue with the chosen supply trend and propose a solution to said problem. Your writing is based on your own ideas as well as research (opinions, facts, interviews, information) collected from sources that will support your idea(s). It is encouraged that students use a particular topic relevant to their work, if possible, to utilize the course concepts in a more meaningful way. The paper may include industry references, but it must also include a set of references from academic sources to demonstrate a level of research into current thinking on supply chain management and issues. It is also recommended to follow American Psychological Association Publication Association (http://www.apa.org). Grading of the Term Paper will be judged equally on these four criteria: 1. Depth of project research (Overview): a measure of the degree of sophistication and detail in the research, including outside sources utilized. 2. Degree of application of knowledge (Findings): a measure of how well the practices and content covered in the course were applied to the assessments. 3.
