Literature Review
Drawing on readings from lessons one to seven, conduct a review of the literature. The goal of the exercise is not to assess the readings but to synthesise the different themes developed in these readings to make sense of identity and create a theoretical framework.
What is a literature review?
A literature review is an [synthesis] of what has been published on a topic by accredited scholars and researchers. It can be a separate assignment such as [this midterm], but it is also part of the introduction to an essay, a research report, or a thesis. In writing a literature review, your purpose is to convey to your reader what knowledge and ideas have been established on a topic. As a piece of writing, your literature review is not just a descriptive list of material available or a set of summaries.

Please summarize and synthesize the arguments of the above sociologists and then add personal understanding on it in conclusion and perhaps pose some questions which you would like to have further info on from the sociologists
