strategy development (formulation) process with review of the articles and videos on Strategy Mapping.

For the first page of the assignment:
Each student will continue the strategy development (formulation) process with review of the articles and videos on Strategy Mapping.
The paper should continue with the addition of:
A Strategy Bubble Map that includes the perspectives of People, Process, Customer, and Finance and the strategic themes (3) of the organization.
STRATEGY MAP INSTRUCTIONS:
The next step in your capstone project is to take the SWOT analysis that you did and develop a strategy map. Your strategy map should look like this example. You may use this blank template.
What you will be including on the strategy map is:
There will be two axis’ (if you will) on the map. The perspectives on the vertical and the strategic themes on the horizontal.
A strategy map generally has 3 strategic themes but for this project, follow with the same two you used for your SWOT.
Down the side for your row headings, use Kaplan-Norton’s 4 perspectives in the order as they are on the strategy map. They must remain in the same order for the cause-effect relationship.
You will have 1-2 strategic objectives that you type in your bubbles for each block. You may have up to 3 for the process row. Don’t try to write a whole sentence, you will only be able to get a few words in those blocks, see my example.
For your strategic theme columns, the most important element is that what your people strategic objective supports and helps build your process strategic objectives and the two come together to produce your customer strategic objective (outcome) and your financial strategic objective (outcome)….follow Kaplan-Norton’s cause-effect building logic. Refer to the video clip and go by the Southwestern example.
You will upload the Strategy Map (bubble map) along with
A narrative descriiption of each strategic theme and how meeting people objectives will support meeting process objectives; how meeting people and process objectives will support meeting customer/market objectives; and how meeting customer/market objectives will lead to increased loyalty, increased repeat business, increased new business and increased revenue and overall implications for Business Results- Financial*, Market.
Requirements include:
At least 3-5 quality references.
For the second page of the assignment:
Each student will continue the strategy development and deployment (execution) proposal with completion of a BSC template for the two themes you have been working on for the Capstone company. This assignment will require the planning of performance metrics to assess each strategic objective (bubble) on the strategy map that was developed last week.
The following is an article with additional information about the BSC:
Kaplan, R. S. (2010). Conceptual Foundations of the balanced scorecard. Harvard Business Review.
Using the template, you will develop a BSC to align to the Strategy Map- For every strategic objective (bubble) on the map, you must have at least one measurement to address how you will assess if you are meeting that objective. The Strategy Map is the plan view, the BSC is the metrics view. Make sure each bubble on your map has a correspondent metric on the BSC.
At the end of the template include a brief proposal for the implementation of this Strategy Map/BSC Cascade, and how to use the Cascade to translate and execute the strategy in all divisions, department, units and by all individuals. Address how to use Strategy Reviews to measure and monitor progress-to-plans.
Requirements for the Paper include:
At least 3-5 quality references on the BSC.
Example templates and a blank template for your use has been provided. The organization the project is being done on is American Credit Acceptance
