Speaker Analysis Guidelines: Watch a public speaker in person (preferred) or wat

Speaker Analysis Guidelines:
Watch a public speaker in person (preferred) or watch online. The speech should last a minimum of 5 minutes, but no matter the length you must watch the whole speech. This analysis should be spaced at 1.5 with a font no bigger than 12. Margins should be 1” all around.
Here’s what I want you to look for:
1. Speaker’s name
2. The occasion or reason that the audience is present
3. The time (date and time of day)
4. The location
5. Anything else important about the context of the speech
6. What can you tell about the audience? (ages, gender, other important characteristics)
7. Purpose of the speech
All of the above items you can note in a sentence or two. Then write paragraphs about:
8. The organization pattern and/or the argument that the speaker uses to structure the speech. Identify it. Was the speaker effective using the org. pattern or argument? Why or why not?
9. What did you perceive to be the strengths of the speech? Identify two or three and tell me what made them effective.
10. What were some of the weaknesses of the speech? This could be content or delivery or a mixture of both. Did the speaker hold the audience’s attention, for instance. Again identify two or three weakness and make suggestions on how to fix them.
11. Finally, give me your overall impression of the speech and what lesson(s) did you learn about public speaking from this speaker?
The paper should be between 1-2 pages long.
Source just needs to be the link to where the speech can be found if it is online.
