In order to complete your sociocultural paper assignment, be sure to organize your paper using the following format (EXACTLY AS IT IS). Be sure to include answers to the questions required for the specific topic you selected. Do Your Own Work!
I.    Introduction: (State the importance of the sociocultural issue and why you were interested in the topic (Cite relevant literature)
II.    Topic Discussion: (Reference literature, statisitcs, theories (where relevant), and provide relevant examples to explain the issues importance as it relates to children and their development – (DOPIE)
III.    Perspectives & Culture: (Cite literature – Discuss the issue from the perspective of UAE culture and compare it to perspectives of another culture)
a.    The perspective of UAE culture -What practices are usual in the UAE. Start with addressing the UAE perspective.
b.    Compare the UAE practices to that of at least TWO other cultures; what are the similarities or differences based on comparisons to the other culture/s.
IV.    Recommendations
a.    THESE SHOULD NOT BE YOUR OPINION! These should be exclusively based on your readings.
b.    Based on your research, formulate at least three recommendations each for family, community, and school/classroom experiences – (cite references to relevant reading and address family, community and school / classroom …DO NOT SKIP ANY!)
