Round One
A. Beginning with the affirmative side, speakers will present their arguments
for 1-2 minutes each. After that, we will continue to the “Negative side.”

Speakers should try to focus on one specific reason at a time.
Speakers should explain the reason and provide some evidence to
support the claim.
Speakers can also respond to previpus points made by their
opponents by stating why that reasoning may be flawed.
Speakers can also add evidence or analysis to a point previously
made by their teammates.
Round Two
A. After each person has had a chance to speak, each side will be given THREE
MINUTES each side to respond. Anyone can speak during these THREE
minutes.
Round Three
B. Open discussion with the class. Class can ask questions to the individual
speakers or bring up new points. (10 minutes)
Round Four
Closing statements-Debaters can add final thoughts. What were the
challenges with this topic?
I chose no :
Negative: No, the college should not require it; It should be the students’ choice.
It’s not an essay it’ll be a debate I just want a paper ready to not forget what to say and that supports the idea of no they should not require it and the reasons why so I can tell them in the class
