The paper should discuss why the student selected their particular marginalized population, identify and describe the dominant group(s), policies, and systems that contribute to the subjugation of the group, and provide a brief summary of the discriminatory practices oppressing the marginalized group.
Students should address specifically what they learned during this course that deepened their knowledge, empathy, or awareness of this group, and why. Students should describe any previous implicit biases, privilege “blind spots”, or false perceptions they had related to the group prior to the course, and what views were transformed and why. All papers should be 6-8 pages in length, incorporate APA formatting, and include at least 5 sources cited from readings, articles, chapters etc. provided in this course. No title page is necessary.
