Discuss the current globalization process by using the perspective of liminality. To this purpose, write a research essay of maximum 1000 words.
CLARIFICATIONS:
a. Your essay should contain the following:
1. discuss what is globalization (about 250 words)
2. present the basic assumptions and concepts of liminality (about 350 words)
3. show how these concepts hang together with a view to processes of globalization: single out the key theoretical insights provided by your perspective by discussing one significant example of liminal globalization or global liminality (about 400 words)
4. draw on relevant / significant academic sources regarding both liminality and globalization
4. make correct use of citations / references within your essay text;
5. provide an end bibliography, not included in the word count.
b. Excellent answers will formulate an overall convincing argument regarding the power of the approach of liminality to make us understand what is involved in the process of globalization. The essay will be well-organized and written as clearly as possible.
